Cough

When a cough persists without an obvious source, or has not responded to treatment, Dr. Tamez can perform a complete head and neck evaluation, along with an endoscopic evaluation of the nose/sinus drainage passage and the voicebox/larynx. A common cause of chronic cough is the use of ACE inhibitors and Laryngopharyngeal Reflux (LPR). Another cause, which is not obvious, is chronic sinusitis with subsequent drainage down the back of the throat (PND). Other causes of chronic cough are Atypical Asthma and Neuropathic Cough. Dr. Tamez has the knowledge and experience to help in the evaluation and treatment of those annoying throat complaints.
